Terms of use
Last updated 15 October 2026
Draft: pending legal review and confirmation of the company details below.
These terms apply when you use the Seedr app, your Seedr card and this website (together, “Seedr”). Please read them. Clauses that limit our liability or place obligations on you are marked in bold. By creating an account you agree to these terms and our privacy policy.
1. About us

- Registration number: [Company registration number]
- Physical address (also our address for legal notices): [Physical address]
- Phone: [Business phone number]
- Email: [support@yourdomain]
- Website: this site
2. Who can use Seedr
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must give accurate information on your card and keep your account secure.
- If you use Seedr for a business, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.
3. Your card and content
- You own what you put on your card (your details, photo, logo, bio, intro video link and documents). You give us permission to store, display and share it as needed to run Seedr, for example showing your card to anyone with its link.
- You are responsible for your content. It must be accurate, lawful and yours to share, and it must not infringe anyone else's rights.
- Your card is public to anyone with its link or QR code.
4. Contacts and messages
- You are responsible for the contacts you save and for the messages you send them, including having a lawful reason to keep their details and contact them under POPIA.
- Follow-ups and introductions are sent from your own WhatsApp, email or messaging app, or through Seedr's in-app introductions. Seedr never sends messages to your contacts on its own.
- Only introduce people who would welcome it, and only share someone's contact details if they are happy for you to.
5. AI features
- Seedr can draft messages and event briefs using AI, based on the information you provide.
- AI drafts can be wrong or unsuitable. Always read and edit a draft before you send it. You are responsible for anything you send.
- AI use may be limited each month to keep the service affordable.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Seedr to:
- send spam, bulk unsolicited marketing or messages people haven't agreed to receive;
- add fake contacts, create multiple accounts or otherwise manipulate points, leagues or competitions;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are or who you work for;
- upload anything unlawful, harmful, misleading, hateful or sexually explicit, or anything containing malware;
- collect other people's information without their consent, or scrape, copy or resell Seedr or its data;
- interfere with Seedr's security or try to access accounts or data that aren't yours.
7. Leagues and competitions
Points, leagues and monthly competitions are part of Seedr. Prize competitions are governed by the competition rules, which form part of these terms.
8. Plans and payments
- Seedr currently has a free plan. Any paid plan (such as Seedr Pro) will be clearly described, with its price in rand including VAT, before you buy.
- Subscriptions bought in the app are billed and managed by Google Play or the App Store under their terms. They renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time in your store account. Cancelling stops future payments; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Your rights to cancel and to refunds under the Consumer Protection Act and the ECT Act are not affected.
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice of a price increase on a paid plan.
9. Suspending and closing accounts
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (My card, Delete my account) or at Delete your account. Deletion is permanent.
- We may suspend your card or account, or remove content, if you break these terms, if we need to protect other people or Seedr, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
10. Changes to Seedr and these terms
- Seedr will change over time. We may add, change or remove features.
- We may update these terms. We will tell you in the app or by email about significant changes before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can stop using Seedr and delete your account.
11. Availability and liability
- We work hard to keep Seedr available and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that networking will lead to any particular business result.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profits or opportunities), or for loss caused by your content, your messages, other users or third-party services such as WhatsApp, Google Play or video platforms.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
12. Intellectual property
Seedr's name, design, software and content (other than content users add) belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to use Seedr as intended.
13. Law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
- If you have a complaint, contact us first at [support@yourdomain] and we will try to resolve it within 14 days. You may also approach the National Consumer Commission or another relevant authority.
