Competition rules

1. Promoter

The Seedr monthly networking competition (“the competition”) is run by [Company legal name, e.g. FUTR Agency (Pty) Ltd] (registration number [Company registration number]) (“the promoter”). Each month's prize is provided by the sponsor named on the competitions page.

2. Who can enter

• Anyone 18 or older with a Seedr account who lives in South Africa.
• Entry is free. You do not need a paid plan to take part or to win. Every Seedr account is entered automatically.
• Employees, directors and agents of the promoter and the month's sponsor, and their immediate families, may not win.

3. Competition period

Each competition runs for one calendar month, from 00:00 on the first day to 23:59 on the last day (South African time). Points reset at the start of each month.

4. How points are earned

• Introduction accepted by another Seedr member in the app: 10 points.
• Introduction confirmed through the confirmation link: 5 points, up to 5 a month.
• A different person sends you their details from your Seedr card: 3 points, up to 20 a month.
• Completing a monthly quest: 5 points each.
• Following up a new contact within 48 hours: 1 point, up to 5 a day.

This is a competition of skill and effort, not chance. The winner is the eligible member with the most points at the end of the month.

5. Fair play

• Points must come from genuine networking. Fake contacts, self-confirmed introductions, multiple accounts or any other manipulation will disqualify the entrant.
• Before a prize is awarded, the promoter will verify the winner's activity, which may include a short call and confirming introductions with the people involved.
• The promoter's decision on points and eligibility is final.

6. Ties

If two or more members tie for first place, the member with more points from confirmed introductions wins. If still tied, the member who reached the winning score first wins.

7. Prize

• The prize for each month is described on the competitions page.
• Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• The sponsor provides the prize directly. The prize must be claimed within 30 days of the winner being contacted.

8. Winner announcement

• The winner is contacted through the email address on their Seedr account within 7 days of the month ending.
• If the winner cannot be reached within 14 days, or does not meet these rules, the prize goes to the next eligible member.
• The winner's first name and business will be published on the competitions page and Seedr's social media only if they agree.

9. Your information

Your name only appears on the public leaderboard if you turn on “Show me on the public leaderboard” in the app. Otherwise you appear as “A Seedr member”. Your information is processed in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act and our privacy policy.

10. General

• The promoter may change or end the competition with reasonable notice on this page.
• The promoter keeps a record of winners for at least three years, as required by law.
